About the Publication
Step Back Into the Story
The InsideCount is an independent publication devoted to professional wrestling, its rivalries, its characters, and the moments that made us believe.
We aren't interested in explaining away the magic. We're interested in remembering why it mattered.
Generations of men and women have put their bodies, imagination, and years of their lives into this extraordinary form of storytelling. Their work deserves to be revisited, examined, debated, and discovered by someone experiencing it for the first time.
Whether you're returning to a rivalry you followed decades ago or meeting a legend you've only heard about, there's a seat for you here.
We know what's behind the curtain. Here, you're welcome to leave it closed.
Inside the Story
We cover professional wrestling from inside its sporting world. Championships matter. Betrayals have consequences. A victory can change a career, and a defeat can follow someone for years.
We examine how matches were won, why alliances mattered, and what made certain competitors so difficult to overcome. We bring curiosity, research, and a little humor to stories that still have plenty to offer.
Some articles look back across a career or rivalry. Others take you into a particular moment, following events with only the knowledge available at the time.
Respecting the Work
Taking the stories seriously means attempting to get the details right. We research dates, results, and statements, link our sources, and distinguish the historical record.
At the heart of it all is a simple belief: Respect the Person by Appreciating the Work.

Have a column in mind, artwork to share, or a perspective from independent wrestling? We'd love to hear from you.
Writers, artists, and people within the wrestling community all have a place in the stories we want to tell. We're also exploring a space where artists can showcase and sell their professional wrestling artwork. If your work celebrates the wrestlers, rivalries, and moments that made you care, we'd like to see it.
